Bossy Or Assertive? SEL Boom Cards

$3.00

In this Boom Deck, students will learn about being bossy versus being assertive and flexible. This is a companion Boom Deck to Julia Cook's book called My Way or the Highway. However, you can read any book about someone being bossy and overpowering someone else such as: The Bossy Dragon by Steve Herman, Cake and I Scream by Steve Mack, Bossy Flossy by Paulette Bogan, Franklin is Bossy by Paulette Bourgeois or just you can simply play this deck. Students will learn what it means to be bossy and also assertive. You do not need to have read It's My Way or the Highway by Julia Cook, but I do recommend it. There is audio on every card so there is no reading required. There are 24 task cards and 8 introduction/closing cards. Young students naturally experiment with bossing others around. This is a helpful deck to teach students how to speak up for what they need and want without taking over their friends or situations. Students can play this deck individually, with a partner, in a group or as a whole class lesson.

To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for modern Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards.
